Isabelle Monk
I attended Hungerhill between 2008-2013.
In September 2013, I went on to study for AS and A-Levels at Danum School in Psychology, PE, and Sociology. I cannot believe how quickly the time is passing and that I have now completed my AS exams.
As with my sister Emily, I have also had my heart set on a career in dance and Performing Arts, and I will be auditioning at a number of successful Performing Arts Colleges during the coming Autumn and Spring months, with the intention of beginning a degree course in Performing Arts in September 2015.
I competed, for the second year running, in the Grand Final of Miss Dance Great Britain at the Opera House, Winter Gardens in Blackpool, getting through to the semi-final stages. At the final, I was awarded the John Dilworth Trophy. This is a trophy dedicated to the man who founded the Miss Dance Great Britain competition, and is awarded to a semi-finalist who the five judges considered to show the most potential and personality. It is amazing to dance on the enormous stage at the Opera House, performing in front of almost three thousand people. It is something I will remember my whole life.
I thoroughly enjoyed my five years at Hungerhill School, and I believe that the support and encouragement that I received from all of my teachers has given me the confidence to face the challenges that life may have in store for me, and shown me that, with hard work and committment, you can realise your dreams.
