Hungerhill School

Charity

Fundraising 2024-25.

Charity work, and supporting those less fortunate than ourselves, remains a central focus for the Enrichment Programme at Hungerhill School. It is the epitome of one of our Core Values, Care.

2024-25 was a record-breaking year for our school, in which we raised an incredible £10,713.65 for charity! This represents another proud moment for Hungerhill and shows yet again that our community is one that cares and comes together for great causes.

£8074.94 was raised for our Whole School Charity, as chosen by the students, Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice. £1000 was raised for Read for Good, which is a charity that supplies books and adult readers for children in hospital. We also supported Sheffield Children's Hospital, The British Heart Foundation and Breast Cancer UK. In addition, we sent a school record of 222 shoeboxes and over £1000 off to The Samaritans as part of Operation Christmas Child.

Fundraising activities included The Shoebox Appeal, The Christmas Fayre, our student Readathon, our summer Fitathon and various non-uniform days and other fundraisers. All of these were expertly coordinated by our amazing Charity and Enrichment Student Leadership Team.

In 2025-26, we aim to set yet more records!
