Zimbabwe Visit
On Wednesday 20th November, we welcomed some very special visitors to Hungerhill. Three teachers from our link school in Zimbabwe and a group of students from Selly Park girls school in Birmingham travelled up to spend the day with us. The visit forms part of the International Schools project which gives our students the opportunity to explore other cultures and develop links with schools from around the world.
The guests were given an extremely warm welcome from our drama and performing arts students who gave them a demonstration of the remembrance assembly, a piece from the school choir and showed them some fantastic dancing! They were blown away by the professionalism and quality in the performances.
At lunchtime, students from our International Council met with the visitors and shared ideas for upcoming projects. The girls from Selly Park gave an inspiring presentation about what they’ve been doing in Birmingham leaving our students with plenty of food for thought.
In the afternoon, the visitors were given a tour of the school whilst the Selly Park girls buddied up with our students and enjoyed experiencing lessons at Hungerhill. The day was a huge success and we are all very excited to start working on projects with our link schools!
