Hungerhill celebrated its departing Year 11 students with a wonderful night in their honour.
We awarded some of our Bonus Credit achievers with £15 vouchers this half-term, just in time for Christmas! What a nice present for them to receive. We also rewarded some of our 100% attenders with a prize.
Year 8 students had the opportunity to win prizes for their Bonus Credit achievements and their attendance. The names of eligible students were added to a draw and winners were announced during their assembly.
Year 7 form groups took part in our annual Christmas Hamper competition.
Our annual Christmas Concert was a great success. Students loved getting into the Christmas spirit with some festive music.
The school Library put on their annual Christmas Fun Day in aid of Barnardo's children's charity. It was a very popular event and staff and students all thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.
The MFL department ran a competition during the run-up to the Christmas holidays. Students were asked to design and make their cards, and submit them for judging. The competition was very popular, resulting in a huge response. The winners all received a prize of a selection box.
In addition to the whole-school Christmas lunch, the DT Food department also held their own festive celebration. Students were required to make certain popular items, including pigs in blankets and Yorkshire puddings, and serve them to their classmates.
Our ITT students receive ongoing support from the school in terms of their progression and development as teachers.
Staff and students contributed to this year's Samaritan's Shoebox Appeal. A total of 108 boxes were wrapped and donated, and a total of £227.00 was raised for the charity.
